Bringing senior management experience to Forest Concepts, Mike was previously C.O.O. for Tessera, Inc., and prior to that Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Worldwide, for Ostex International, Inc. He spent more than twenty-three years in senior level marketing and sales positions in divisions of Warner Lambert and AKZO Nobel, both Fortune 100 companies, and received a BS in Business from Cornell University.
Dr. Dooley's degrees include BS and M.Eng. in agricultural engineering and a PhD in forest resources/forest engineering. Jim held a number of engineering, business development and technical management positions with major corporations, including Amfac (tropical agriculture and sugar cane) and Weyerhaeuser (forest products and timber), during a twenty-two year career with multi-national corporations. Dr. Dooley was the 2008 President of ASABE, The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. He is a Fellow of three engineering professional societies.
Tom Broderick serves the company as both an equity investor and as in-house patent counsel. Mr. Broderick has a masters in biology and is a registered patent attorney who has crafted more than one hundred issued patents, numerous successful patent defenses, and has three decades of high-level experience in the patent law business.
Dave leads design and development for the company and is co-inventor of many of the company's products. He received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington in 2003. While at the university, Dave led a senior design project team that worked on more efficient methods to produce our WoodStraw® products; the fundamental process is still in use today at the core of WoodStraw® production. Dave is active in ASABE, The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, and has served as past chair for the Forest Engineering technical committee. He has led our development of the rotary shearing technology and equipment that is used to manufacture precision feedstock particles.
Chris is a research and development engineer with responsibilities that span our research and manufacturing operations. He received a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering from the University of Washington in 2005. Chris leads our analytical design activities and is responsible for design of most laboratory apparatus.
Jason ensures smooth and timely production of WoodStraw® products, manages inventories, and arranges trucking for the company. Prior to joining Forest Concepts in 2006, he was the Marketing and IT Consultant to Tessera, Inc., a Seattle-based biotech focused on developing cancer biomarker diagnostics. Prior to Tessera, he was the Sales Manager at the Bellevue Hyatt and Customer Service Representative for Graebel Van Lines. Jason has a BS in Marketing from Central Washington University.
Jocko co-founded the Company in 1998 and has held a number of management, production and sales positions in the forestry and timber industries. He worked for the Weyerhaeuser Company for more than 25 years and during that time served as Regional Construction Engineer and Marketing Intelligence Manager. He has been a leader in the Society of American Foresters and is a Captain in the US Navy Reserves. Jocko presently works special projects for the company and participates as a member of its senior management team.

Galen is a 2009 graduate of Brown University with a degree in Art and Media Studies. He oversees and performs experimental preparation, execution, and analysis in Forest Concepts' key research areas. Additionally, he assists in production of and maintenance for Woodstraw® and Crumbles® feedstock materials and equipment.
